Sunday Eve Thoughts

I was challenged by the messages we heard today:
  • Sunday School - about marriage. Genesis 2:24. Having unity and intimacy in all areas: finances, decisions, spiritual life and studies. Very thought provoking.

  • Sermon - true confessions. Based on Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9:1-19. The characteristics of true confession: fervency, humility, identifying with other sinners, thoroughness, acceptance of chastening, hope/confidence of forgiveness.

  • Evening tent revival - opening subject: do we back off and let Jesus be first? Or always want to be first and seen? Main subject was that we 'silence the warnings' of things in our life that are amiss. Thus allowing disaster to happen. "the way of the transgressor is hard"(Proverbs) Sermon ended with warning and descriptions of hell.
These are just some of the things that stood out to me. I'm sure others had different things they remembered.........
Lots of things to mull over this week. Lord, don't allow these messages slip away in the busyness of my tomorrow. Keep them fresh on my mind!

Was also able to catch up with some friends...new and old. Friends are a blessing that we take for granted. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own lives that we forget them.

Our day ended with a popcorn party on the couch. We enjoyed watching littleM cram it into his mouth.....just like the rest of us were doing. oops...he's watching us, and learning!
