I woke up grumpy this morning. No reason why. I just felt grumpy. So my husband says "Maybe you need to just be thankful...then you won't be grumpy".
So I thought it wouldn't hurt to take his advice and name a few things I was thankful for. Then a chorus of a song came to mind that says it all for me:
I've a roof up above me
I've a good place to sleep
There's food on my table
And shoes on my feet
You gave me your love, Lord
And a fine family
Thank You, Lord
For your blessings on me!
I have been blessed beyond measure.....
This reminds me of Psalm 34 the first few verses that talk about continous praise to our Father! I love reading this Psalm over and over. It puts my mind and heart in tune with my God. Also Philippians 4:8 gets me to praising our God since HE is the ONLY ONE in which I can set my thoughts upon and know they will be pure and of good report! Thanks, for the reminder today to be thankful at all times!
