Bread Baking

Wheat Berries

Fresh Ground Flour

I've heard it said that you should train your children so that you work yourself out of a job. I'm not sure that will ever totally happen, but I did give in today to the "Please Mom, will you teach me to make bread? Please, Please?"

Ready for 350 degrees for 22 minutes.

The finished product!

  1. Please, Mom, will you teach *ME* how to bake bread? I've never made bread from scratch. I've made it all the way through in the bread maker and I've made it just to the baking stage in the machine, then finished it in the oven but never all the way through. I keep telling myself women have been baking bread for thousands of years, it can't be that hard. It just seems daunting.

  2. (I'm gonna try to leave a comment again....left one as anonymous last time.... and I can't figure it out this time either!)so fun to teach your children how to cook. My mom never really did and it was fun when we got married! Take out??? I'm trying to have the boys help now and then. Maybe someday their wives will thank me! -Kathy M.
